PART TIME CASELOADS

Apex Therapeutic Services is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists interested in providing school-based speech therapy.

Specific Location : Home Instruction- 4th Grader 5x30 Weekly

Location Address : Home within Elmont Union Free School District

Hourly Rate : $55.00 per half hour.

Responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School Settin g

• The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - will work with students exhibiting the full range of communication disorders, including those involving language, articulation (speech sound disorders), fluency, voice / resonance, and swallowing.
• Assessment of each student's disabilities having an impact on the education of students; then plan to address personal, social / emotional, academic, and vocational needs that have an impact on the attainment of each student's individual educational goals.
• Contribute to the literacy achievement of students with communication disorders, including students who are at risk for school failure, or those who may struggle in the school setting.
• Supporting the needs of students with significant challenges, helping to determine methods for alternate learning.
• The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be helping to identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes.
• Helping to plan relevant instructional activities for ongoing implementation in the classroom.

Requirements of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School Setting

Must be a registered / licensed or pursuing a license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York state. Must have TSSLD, and Certificate of Clinical Competency
