Ecolab is seeking an Assembler I to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. In this hands-on position, you’ll contribute to the reliability and performance of our systems by performing essential checks, supporting re-manufacturing operations, and ensuring every piece of equipment meets our high standards for safety and quality. You’ll also help drive continuous improvement by using TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tools and sharing insights that enhance efficiency and service. How You’ll Make an Impact : Assemble mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components with precision, ensuring every build meets exact specifications and supports operational excellence Perform hydraulic and electrical checks to confirm equipment is functioning safely and reliably before it returns to service Lead re-manufacturing tasks—from disassembly and inspection to minor repairs and reassembly—restoring equipment to peak condition Follow process and specification sheets with accuracy and consistency, setting the standard for quality and compliance Complete labor reporting and recordkeeping with attention to detail, ensuring transparency and accountability Use TPM tools to drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and customer service while reducing operational costs Communicate proactively about maintenance needs, quality concerns, or anything that could impact safety or productivity—ensuring issues are addressed before they escalate Keep leadership informed on daily activities and operational challenges, contributing to a culture of openness and continuous improvement Support the development of others by assisting in training teammates and sharing knowledge Step in wherever needed to help the team meet its goals and deliver on shared commitments Position Details : Plant Location : Elk Grove Village, IL Work Week & Shift : Monday to Thursday, 6 : 00AM - 4 : 00PM Compensation : $19.50 per hour What’s Unique About This Role : Be part of a purpose-driven team that builds equipment supporting clean water, safe food, abundant energy, and healthy environments Gain hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while learning industry-leading tools and processes Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement where your ideas and attention to detail help drive safety, efficiency, and quality Grow in a supportive environment that values collaboration, communication, and shared success across every level of the team Minimum Qualifications : High School diploma or equivalent Previous manufacturing experience Immigration Sponsorship not available for this opportunity Physical Demands : Position requires lifting / carrying 50lbs Position requires standing upwards of 10 hours Position requires passing a drug screen and physical exam Preferred Qualifications : Basic math ability Experience using hand and power tools Collaborative and team-orientated Experience working in a fast-paced environment Time-management and communication skills What’s in it For You : Starting on Day 1 : Access to our comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, matching 401K, company-paid pension, stock purchase plan, paid parental leave, select discounted childcare resources, and more! Annual or Hourly Compensation Range : The pay rate for this role is $19.50 per hour.
