Security Officer - Commercial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and attentive communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere for tenants and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license as you conduct routine patrols and support the overall well-being of the property.

Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior, adapting to various working environments and conditions as required by the location.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized individuals, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident and / or activity reports as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

    • Minimum Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
