Description :
The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers. Collaborates with Marketing / Design to interpret design concept into 2- dimensional patterns. Consults with product triad to clarify concepts and lend pattern-making and fit technical expertise. Creates first models from concept pictures. Incorporates styling and fit changes determined by design / marketing / development during fit sessions or design process. Inspects and critiques samples. Creates and / or revises product specifications with construction details for production. Ensures specifications detail construction methods that optimizes profitability.
Must Have :
5+ YOE as a Technical designer in pattern making or adjusting patterns, can start from scratch or adjust existing patterns for women s athletic wear
Role is potentially athlete facing, can do functional work and be representative the brand
Knowledge of garment construction for knits - knowledge of wovens could work as well, but knits is preferred
Nice to Have :
Performance wear experience
Outerwear experience, dresses and skirts
PDM, PCX, PLM, Web based to add comments on changes - record keeping tools
