A company is looking for an Insurance Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Perform insurance authorization for patients scheduled for services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Select accurate medical records and communicate with insurance companies and physicians to secure payment approvals

Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in handling accounts while meeting productivity standards

Required Qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, specifically with insurance verification and authorization

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Understanding of revenue cycle processes, including admissions, billing, and denials

Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, or procedure codes

Experience with patient access in managed care / insurance and proficiency in MS applications
