Equipment Operator - 2nd Shift
The Warehouse Equipment Operator operates industrial lift trucks to collect and place specific materials into designated locations. Duties and responsibilities include being certified to operate industrial lift trucks, reading itemized lists of materials and locating, collecting, and placing specific materials into designated locations, using RF scanning devices for scanning of storage and retrieval transactions, and adhering to all company policies including all safety rules. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager.
Scope includes no staff supervision and development, up to 5% travel, and a DC based flex designation.
Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and preferred experience in a warehouse environment. Skills required include reading comprehension and ability to communicate in writing, basic mathematic skills to include an understanding of geometry in order to build stable pallets.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. Grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. Ability to safely team lift, lower, and move items up to 50lbs unassisted (maximum), 51+lbs assisted over the course of a work day. Sit or stand continuously for up to twelve hours per day. Must be comfortable working with and around forklifts, conveyer systems, scissor lifts, and hazardous machinery. Must be comfortable with performing many of the tasks listed above from a ladder up to fifteen feet in elevation above the floor surface observing safety controls. Must utilize proper safety controls at all times. Must be able to drive automobiles, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
Safety requirements include the ability to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others. The anticipated rate for this position is $23.50 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 152 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays).
