We are looking to expand our team by adding an energetic and dedicated full-time Assistant Pool Manager. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and a strong commitment to working as part of a team.
Please review the following job duties :
- People Management : Assist in the supervision and delegation of tasks for a team of 30-40 staff members. Adress questions and concerns appropriately and assist with management matters as needed / directed by the upper management team.
- Ensure Safety : Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and participants to prevent accidents and injuries, always prioritizing patron safety.
- Enforce Pool Rules : Observe and enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
- Customer Service : Provide outstanding customer service by responding to member inquiries, addressing concerns, and assisting with any needs that arise during pool use.
- Facility Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness of the pool area, restrooms, and surrounding areas. Ensure the filtration system is functioning properly, and that pool chemistry is up to standard.
- Emergency Response : Respond quickly to all emergency situations, utilizing Red Cross Lifeguard training to administer first aid, CPR, and other emergency procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance : Maintain and inspect pool equipment to ensure it is safe, clean, and operational.
- Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and staff members to ensure efficient pool operations and a positive member experience.
- Facility Opening / Closing : Perform opening and closing duties for the facility, including necessary cleaning and preparation for operation.
- Other Duties : Complete other tasks as assigned by the Pool Manager or Assistant Pool Manager
Requirements :
Lifeguard Certification : Current Lifeguard and First Aid / AED certification required. (Please upload your current Lifeguard Certification.)
Customer Service Skills : Proven history of excellent customer service and effective communication.
Physical Requirements : Ability to stay alert for extended periods, swim, and perform lifesaving techniques when necessary.
Work Environment : Ability to work in outdoor conditions with exposure to various weather elements.
Punctuality and Responsibility : Must be dependable, punctual, and able to multitask in a challenging environment. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and major summer holidays.
Pool Operator Certificate : Having a Pool Operator Certificate is a requirement for this role. Please upload a copy of this with your resume.
