Physician / Psychiatry / Arizona / Permanent / Long Term Psychiatry Opening South of Phoenix, AZ Job

Medstaff is assisting with long term Psychiatry coverage for Federal detention center located south of Phoenix, AZ.

• Looking for a physician that is board certified, or a recent grad ready to sit for the boards, in Psychiatry
• Requires unrestricted Arizona license, BLS and at least one year of psychiatry experience
• Experience in a detention / correctional or residential setting is preferred but not required
• Coverage is needed for Sun-Sat, days, nights, weekends and will have shared call
• Flexibility would be great - let us know your preferences
• Bi-Lingual is a plus, but not a requirement
• Duties include but are not limited to evaluation, formulation of diagnoses and treatment of psychiatric and mental health care needs
• Includes, family units, urgent and emergency mental health care, public health management, case management, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
• Also gender specific care, including transgender care and management of mental health care during pregnancy
• Start date is based on time for interview, site visit, acceptance, credentialing and security clearance. Will be a commitment through September 2025, with possibility for long term extensions.
