Department : Government Customer- Herndon
Location : Herndon, VA
Data Architect
ACTIVE TS / SCI CLEARANCE with FS poly REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and Implementation : Create and manage database structures that align with user requirements and business needs.
- Performance Monitoring : Regularly monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Data Management : Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and dictionaries; perform data migration and transformation processes.
- Backup and Recovery : Implement and manage database backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss.
- Collaboration : Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and system administrators to ensure data integrity and support application development.
- Security : Protect databases against unauthorized access and threats, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Documentation : Maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and performance metrics.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills :
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are preferred with a minimum of eleven (11) year’s relevant experience with the following skillsets :
Experience in database engineering or administration roles, with familiarity in cloud databases, cross domain solutions, and big data environments.Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable insights.Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database-related issues promptly.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in a related computer science area with 10+ years of data engineering experience with related experience within the last 2 years, or 15+ years of experienceTENICA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
