Department / Unit Summary

Our Neuro department is a 39-patient bed unit with a 6 : 1 patient ratio. We operate with a daily Float Charge RN and 2-3 PCA's per shift. We also have a Discharge Nurse Monday-Thursday for the entire hospital (day shift only).

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN. Additional requirements include :

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
