Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN – Psych) for a contract opportunity in Pierceton, Indiana . In this role, you’ll support individuals experiencing psychiatric and behavioral health challenges while working in a team-focused environment that values care, consistency, and professionalism.

Position Overview

As a Psych RN, you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, and coordinating mental health care for patients in a structured facility. Your focus will be on creating a safe, therapeutic environment and supporting recovery through compassionate nursing care.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct psychiatric assessments and support care planning

Administer medications and monitor for side effects

Respond to crisis situations with de-escalation techniques

Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and care staff

Document behaviors, interventions, and patient progress

Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Qualifications

Active Indiana RN license (or willingness to obtain)

Minimum of 1 year of recent psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience

Current BLS certification (required)

CPI or similar crisis intervention certification (preferred or willing to obtain)

Excellent communication, observation, and clinical judgment skills
