[job_card.job_description]Efficiently review and verify supporting documentation for approved consumer loan applications, create loan documents, and schedule member closings for both DocuSign, and branch. Communicate directly with loan officers to obtain lending decisions and follow up with members and affiliates to relay loan decisions in an expeditious manner. Maintain a high level of communication between the loan originator, member, and closer both verbally and in writing. Answer incoming phone calls from both members and team members to answer questions and perform account maintenance on Visa and loan accounts. Back up processor for incoming loan applications via phone or internet. Process all insurance products by completing quotes, creating documentation, issuing policies, and processing claims, refunds, and payments. Reverse loan payments and perform financial transactions as needed. Process adverse action notices and subsequent action forms as needed. Review Loan Exceptions and execute necessary corrections to maintain the loan file. Assist in creating and revising procedures as assigned. Field questions and service member VISA Accounts. Review VISA reporting for lost / stolen / reissued cards. Audit VISA Files. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of six months of similar or related experience in the financial industry is preferred. Must have knowledge of various federal regulations and the responsibilities relating to each act of the following : Right to Financial Privacy Act Regulation E (EFTS) Regulation CC (Funds Availability) Regulation Z (Truth in Lending) Truth in Savings Act Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Partner with a talented team helping to provide financial solutions to our members! Loan Processor
FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for a dynamic and passionate professional to join our Loan Servicing Department. If you love to use your administrative and service skills to serve our members and maintain loan compliance, this could be the role for you!
Job Location : St. Clair Shores Branch
Days : Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturdays
Hours : 8 AM - 5 PM
Salary : $18 / Hr
Benefits :
- 3 weeks PTO available in the first year
- 401k with up to a 6% match
- Up to a 5% year-end bonus
Position Purpose :
The primary purpose of a Loan Processor is to assist FreeStar Financial Credit Union in fulfilling our mission to positively impact the lives of our members, team members, and community through making meaningful connections and progressive financial solutions. This is done by assisting consumer lending in maintaining all necessary documentation in order to remain in compliance with all regulatory agencies and maintain the necessary records to protect the assets of the credit union.
