The Role

This position is with the Crane Engineering and Quality Engineering group overseeing certification and repairs of bridge gantry whirler and mobile cranes .The primary responsibility will be developing and issuing technical directions after thorough on-site troubleshooting and circuit design may be will be required to work closely with maintenance departments. This position requiresoccasional on-call duty infrequent shift rotation or weekend work as determined by the program.

Researches develops designs and tests electrical components equipment systems and networks. Designs electrical equipment facilities components products and systems for commercial industrial and domestic purposes.

Must Have

• Bachelors Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience;
• Masters Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience;

Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelors Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
