Our global solutions team is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support our major global media and entertainment client. This team is responsible for delivering high-quality streaming experiences to millions of users across web, mobile, and OTT devices. You will lead the design and development of scalable automation frameworks and validation tools that ensure playback reliability, API stability, and cross-device compatibility across complex media environments.

Our ideal resource combines software engineering expertise with a passion for automation, quality, and media technology. You will architect and implement advanced test frameworks, develop reusable automation libraries, and integrate tests into CI / CD workflows to ensure seamless content delivery. Your work will directly support the ongoing evolution of a global streaming platform by enhancing testing accuracy, coverage, and efficiency across playback and platform components. This is an exciting opportunity to work with next-generation media systems that power some of the most recognized entertainment brands worldwide. The project requires a hybrid schedule of three days per week onsite in Universal City, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable test automation frameworks supporting API, UI, and playback validation across web, mobile, and OTT environments.
• Design and develop automated tests for adaptive bitrate streaming, buffering, and playback metric validation.
• Integrate automated testing solutions with CI / CD pipelines leveraging tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test coverage and improve automation strategy across multiple device platforms.
• Write and maintain detailed test plans, test scripts, and reusable testing libraries.
• Participate in code reviews, evaluate testability, and promote engineering best practices.
• Perform analysis and troubleshooting of playback, API, and automation-related issues.
• Mentor QA engineers on modern automation practices and quality engineering approaches.
• Stay informed of emerging streaming and testing technologies to enhance future testing capabilities.

The base range for this contract position is $65-$80 per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all US locations. Within the range, pay is determined by work location and additional factors including skills, experience, and education. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
