About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

License : Valid state or compact RN license required

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BCLS) required

Must-Have :

• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity

Description :

The position requires care for patients with various medical and surgical needs.

The majority of patients served experience continuous cardiac monitoring related to treatment.

Patients may receive diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management.

There is a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety.

Registered Nurses will manage comorbidities and assist with symptom management.

The position involves interpretation of dysrhythmias and accessing ports.

Key responsibilities include blood product administration and central line management.

Nurses will also assist with high-flow nasal cannula and chest tube procedures.

The daily census is expected to be approximately 36 patients.

The facility may have interdisciplinary support available, including respiratory services and social services.

Common patient diagnoses include various cancers and complications related to chemotherapy.

Special equipment used in the unit includes cardiac telemetry monitors and bladder scanners.

Candidates must be willing to meet credentialing requirements promptly.

Professional references are required for consideration.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

The unit maintains a patient ratio of 1 : 4.
