At Gothic Landscape, great projects start long before the first shovel hits the ground. Our purchasing team ensures our field crews have the right materials, from the right suppliers, at the right time to deliver exceptional landscapes.

We are seeking a Construction Purchasing Specialist to support our landscape construction operations by sourcing and procuring materials, plants, and equipment for commercial projects. We’re looking for someone who can quickly step in, take ownership of the role, and make an immediate impact on our team and projects.

What You’ll Do

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Source and purchase materials, plants, equipment, and supplies needed for landscape construction projects
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms
• Identify new suppliers and evaluate vendor performance and reliability

Inventory & Order Coordination

• Monitor inventory levels and conduct stock reviews to ensure project readiness
• Process purchase orders and track shipments from suppliers
• Coordinate deliveries to job sites to ensure crews receive materials on schedule

Cost Management

• Track purchasing activity and ensure alignment with procurement budgets
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved vendor partnerships
• Stay informed on market trends, product availability, and pricing

Collaboration with Field & Project Teams

• Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to understand material needs and project timelines
• Ensure materials are available when needed to avoid project delays

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and inventory levels
• Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and understands the critical role purchasing plays in project success.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
• 2–3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in construction, landscaping, or a related industry

*The ideal candidate is comfortable negotiating with vendors, managing multiple purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries that support active construction projects.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing or ERP systems

*This role requires someone who can anticipate project material needs and ensure field teams have the resources they need to keep projects moving forward. Candidates with experience sourcing plant material, irrigation components, or construction materials for large-scale projects will be particularly successful in this role.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $24–$26 per hour (DOE – negotiable based on experience)
