Job Description

Join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team and seize the opportunity to build and manage a range of large-scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment. At OCI, we are dedicated to delivering top-notch cloud products tailored to our customers' needs as they tackle significant global challenges.

We are looking for creative, hands-on technical program managers who are eager to solve complex problems in highly available cloud services and virtualized infrastructure. As a Senior Principal Technical Program Manager, you will have a profound impact on the business by developing and refining systems that power our customers' critical applications.

In this role, you will collaborate with diverse functional teams and lead the planning and design of technical solutions related to software development and GPU Data Center Infrastructure, addressing critical business issues in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Success in this position relies more on influence than authority to drive project outcomes.

You will outline project scopes, manage timelines, and ensure timely delivery of value; organize and lead status meetings; distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; and oversee proper planning for assigned projects.

Monitoring the project from start to finish is crucial. You'll coordinate interdepartmental activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Additionally, you will supervise and provide technical guidance to the systems analysis and program staff.

Engaging closely with our technical architects, program managers, and product managers will be essential to understand our customers and develop the right solutions and products to meet their needs.

We seek candidates with exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of collaboration within hybrid teams. If you are a motivated technical leader capable of executing both strategically and tactically, and if you thrive on new project challenges, we want to hear from you!

You will need strong interpersonal skills for mentoring, coaching, and building collaborative teams. A customer-focused approach drives your passion for the cloud. Working closely with peers, developers, and customers, you will create solutions that enhance existing capabilities.

Responsibilities

Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with experience engaging with business and engineering teams at all levels, including senior executives.

Strong analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills to balance competing demands effectively.

Deep understanding of business needs, establishing and maintaining high levels of customer trust and confidence.

Extensive experience with software development processes and project management principles to tailor both for optimal project success.

Ability to analyze product performance metrics and efficiently diagnose and resolve issues.

Experience leading technical design discussions and summarizing complex trade-offs in presentations and documentation.

Effective representation of engineering perspectives to partners, product teams, and executive leadership.

Aptitude to engage with individuals and teams across multiple geographies and cultures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain roadmaps, set realistic expectations while upholding standards.

Flourish in an innovative and fast-paced environment, able to navigate ambiguity and conflicting priorities.

Contribute as a lead individual contributor and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring when needed.

Manage other obligations as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, technology management, business management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience on a software or product development team working with cloud technologies.

Self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.

Highly analytical and technically adept, with a quick learning ability for new tools and market opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications
