This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of rocket engine components at our new, state of the art facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The Manager will lead a group of integrated engineers in day-to-day execution of critical path. This position will be responsible for Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Morale for the Tube Shop teams. This is a hands-on position that requires versatile leadership, effective communication, and strong project management skills. In this hands-on leadership role, you will have an impact on all aspects of producing accurate rocket engine components, enabling first article success, high quality and on time delivery of tight tolerance, high value parts. The permanent location of this position is Huntsville, Alabama. This shift is primarily Monday thru Friday second shift.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tube Shop and associated equipment
• Provide mentoring, training and skills development for team members
• Promote and inspire teamwork and employee morale
• Promote and ensure workplace safety
• Develop and monitor department metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, OEE)
• Perform critical administrative activities including recruiting, performance reviews, coaching, resource planning and budget management
• Maintain machine shop schedules to ensure internal delivery targets are met
• Collaborate with team members to address capacity and scheduling conflicts
• Drive process improvements to reduce setup times and machining times
• Establish, maintain and improve workplace 5S and FOD controls
• Provide status updates on hardware deliveries at daily schedule meeting
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated
