School Food Services Manager II

The Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a School Food Services Manager II. The salary is $5,882.23 per month for this permanent, full-time 12-month position located in Kailua, HI 96734. The position number is 1993.

The role involves managing and directing daily food service operations, establishing high standards of quality control for food production and distribution, and supervising the preparation of approved menus and recipes. The position also requires participation in the interview and selection of food service employees, planning and evaluating the work of subordinates, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitization requirements and regulations.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school or equivalent, and progressively responsible work experience in the preparation of foods which included quantity cooking and participation in menu planning, fiscal recordkeeping, purchasing, and storage of food and supplies. Applicants must possess supervisory aptitude and a valid food handlers training level certification from the Hawaii Department of Health, American National Standards Institute accredited organizations, or equivalent organization as determined by the DOE.
