Description :

The acute rehabilitation RN assists individuals with disabilities and / or chronic illnesses.

The nurse helps clients attain and maintain maximum function.

The rehabilitation staff nurse supports clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle.

A therapeutic environment is provided for clients and their family’s development.

The nurse designs and implements treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care.

These strategies promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.

The rehabilitation nurse works in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

These settings can range from acute to subacute rehabilitation facilities.
