Budtender - Mint Cannabis (Hillsboro) - Part-time

Mint Cannabis Co. is a new kind of cannabis dispensary chain, locally-owned and operated in the Portland Metropolitan area. We are seeking a qualified applicant for the Budtender position at our newest shop, located in Hillsboro. The Budtender is responsible for interacting with and assisting customers with their cannabis needs, keeping supplies stocked, and ringing up sales.

Responsibilities and Duties :

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Turning on Slack notifications and acknowledging procedure updates;
• Advising customers on suitable cannabis products based upon their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis;
• Staying updated on new cannabis products on the market, as well as the latest industry trends, by researching and trying new products;
• Processing customer payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system;
• Ensuring that the dispensary is clean, well organized, and well stocked at all times with both cannabis and non-cannabis items;
• Educating customers on the safe use of cannabis items;
• Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required by Oregon Liquor & Cannabis Commission (OLCC) regulations;
• Checking customer identification documents to verify legal age;
• Following procedures and the direction of management at all times;
• Helping with opening and closing tasks or any other assigned duty.
