High school diploma or equivalent Must have a mechanical background with 2 to 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or on highway trucks. Basic computer skills Excellent communication skills Can work independently with little to no supervision Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and occasional weekends Candidates missing one requirement will still be considered Must be 21-years-old or older. Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to : Background check and MVR with less than 10 points. DOT Physical Drug Screen Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15. Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable. What You Will Be Doing :
As a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician, you will be performing preventive maintenance on various types of customer / rental machines as per machine guidelines in a safe and timely manner on customer job sites.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Drive to customer’s job site daily to complete preventive maintenance.
- Operate heavy equipment to determine deficiency’s or performance issues daily.
- Perform all necessary preventive maintenance work for each specific interval service.
- Complete all work orders, time sheets & inspections from completed services.
- Operate service truck safely and comply with all regulations.
- Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required
