[job_card.job_description]Must be able to handle outside elements year round Collects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location. Required to maintain an Electronic DOT log. Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations. Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules. Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times. Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis. Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee. All other duties as assigned by management Must be 21 years of age. Must possess a valid Class A driver's license. With tanker endorsement. Must be registered on Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment. Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch. Sitting for long periods of time. Ability to stay focused and concentrate on one thing for long periods of time. Occasionally lifts up to 75 lbs. Occasionally push, pull or move up to 250 lbs. Occasionally required to maneuver a fully loaded dolly. Occasionally required to load deadstock and / or bins with assistance from a wench on their vehicle. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle, customer locations, and plant environment.
A Route Driver is responsible for operation of a truck to collect fabrication material from meat processors, slaughter facilities and grocery stores, and used cooking oil from restaurants to our location in Kansas City, KS.
