Dentist (Staff Dentist)

This position is located at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, North Chicago, Illinois. This center is the first fully integrated federal health care facility combining Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of War (DOW), specifically the United States Navy (USN), under one command.

General Duties and Responsibilities :

• Includes diagnostic, preventative, restorative, and therapeutic general dental care.
• Participation in Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations.
• Consultations in the ED and dental clinics for adults and pediatric patients.
• Comprehensive dental examination, consultation, and treatment planning.
• Use of radiographs, photographs, diagnostic tests, impressions, jaw relation records, and diagnostic casts.
• Preliminary diagnosis and initial treatment or stabilization of oral manifestations of systemic disease.
• Preventive dentistry services.
• Delivery of local anesthesia.
• Services not increasing the vertical dimension of occlusion.

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30AM - 4 : 00PM
