Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Medical Assistant to serve as the primary point of contact and leader for one of our Medical Assistant teams. In this role, you will provide administrative guidance, oversee daily operations, and ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care while upholding our concierge service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform standard Medical Assistant duties as part of a collaborative team
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of processes and procedures for each physician, ensuring best practices and specialized requirements are consistently followed
- Coach, train, and mentor Medical Assistants to achieve proficiency in all areas of responsibility
- Oversee team execution, including scheduling responsibilities, coordinating coverage for PTO and sick days, and managing training
- Collaborate with management to address performance issues, implement efficiencies, and enhance processes for superior patient care
- Embrace technology by mastering clinical systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Promote patient rights, respond appropriately to emergencies, and demonstrate empathy and active listening
- Attend staff meetings, meet productivity standards, and complete additional duties as assigned
