Position Purpose
The RDC Specialist reviews and processes check deposits submitted through Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) and Mobile RDC (MRDC). This includes verifying check validity, resolving exceptions, handling returned items, and completing related account adjustments. The role requires accuracy, strong analytical skills, sound decision-making, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities – RDC & MRDC Operations
Review and process all RDC / MRDC deposits with accuracy.
Evaluate deposited items per Nizari policies and regulatory standards (BSA, Patriot Act, OFAC, Reg CC, Reg E, Check21).
Resolve exception items and complete account adjustments as needed.
Respond to member inquiries via phone and email.
Report suspicious or unusual activity for loss prevention.
Serve as the primary contact for RDC / MRDC processing, research, and adjustments.
Extract and save check return items into the General Drive.
Notify members regarding cash letter adjustments.
Notify members regarding returned checks.
Post cash letter adjustments to member accounts.
Post check returns to member accounts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of teller experience preferred; familiarity with credit union / teller operations.
Must be available to work Saturdays.
