Overview : Sentara is hiring a Clinical Authorization Specialist for our Home Infusion Team

Location : Chesapeake, VA 23320

Status : Full Time (40 hrs / wk)

Shift : Monday - Friday Days

Hours : 8 : 30am-5pm

The Clinical Authorization Coordinator is responsible to maintain, confirming and secure referrals, authorization, or pre-certifications required for patients to receive medical procedures and / or medication / enteral therapy. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient account information and maintains a database of payer authorization requirements.

Education

High LPN or Pharmacy Tech Trade School (Required)

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Certification / Licensure

Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)

CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB (Required)

or Virginia LPN License (Required)

Experience

2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required) or 2 years Clinical Experience (Required)

Home Health Experience (Preferred)

Authorization Experience (Preferred)

Epic Experience (Preferred)
