Pattern Maker / Mold Maker – Metals & Castings
This role is for a true hands-on patternmaker who enjoys complex work, tight tolerances, and building things that don’t come off a shelf.
You’ll hand-finish intricate metal castings, build and modify patterns, core boxes, and permanent molds, and solve dimensional challenges that aren’t always spelled out on prints. You’ll set up and run conventional and CNC machines, program toolpaths using SolidWorks and Mastercam, and do detailed bench work like fitting, scraping, and polishing. You’ll also inspect your own work, account for draft and shrinkage, and keep equipment running through basic TPM activities.
What you need
• 4+ years of journeyman-level metal pattern making experience or a journeyman license
• CNC setup, programming, and operation experience
• SolidWorks and Mastercam experience
• High school diploma or GED
