Job Summary
Transnation Title Agency is currently looking for a Residential Escrow Closer. This person will be responsible for managing the closing side of residential real estate transactions and supporting accurate, timely order entry. This role prepares and finalizes residential sales and loan closings in connection with issuing marketable title, while also opening and entering new title and escrow orders and tracking files through the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and finalize residential real estate closings and support issuance of final title policies.
- File and record transaction documents and perform basic accounting and balancing procedures.
- Receive and review title orders, obtain missing information, and enter accurate data into the production system.
- Retrieve and upload starter documents and tax information; place tax orders as needed.
- Track files and ensure timely transfer to the appropriate production departments.
- Maintain strong client relationships and communicate potential leads and concerns with staff.
- Comply with company policies, RESPA, CFPB, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Maintain regular attendance and travel to other locations for closings as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies
Knowledge of title insurance, escrow and closing processes, marketable title requirements, and related documents.Understanding of underwriter and company policies, tax and recording standards, legal descriptions, Michigan Land Title Standards, and basic mortgage lending principles.Ability to prorate taxes and closing costs and perform accurate mathematical calculations.Strong problem solving, organization, and decision-making skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Maintains strict confidentiality of company, customer, and employee information.Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and web-based programs; ability to type at least 50 wpmEducation / Experienc e :
Associate degree with a minimum of two years of experience in the title and escrow industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Licenses :
