• #12 - Teacher Assistant Training Program Parapro Assessment-$20.49 / hour

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES :

The Special Education Teacher Assistant will assist the classroom teacher in the supervision of students and perform other duties as prescribed by the classroom teacher and / or principal.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

The ability to make accurate tabulations and computations; the ability to readily understand and carry out directions both oral and written; the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in written form; the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; the ability to develop an effective working relationship with staff students parents and the community; creative thinking problem solving skills and the ability to reinforce information one on one and to small groups; must have an understanding of child development specifically in the area of special services and the ability to perform duties with an awareness of school department requirements and policies.

EDUCATION :

One year related experience preferred.
