Help Desk Technician I-Longmont, CO
Fuze HR is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Longmont, CO, in the search for a Help Desk Technician I. This role offers a competitive salary of $25-$35/hr based on experience.
About the Role
Installs, configures, and maintains organization's operating systems. Analyzes and resolves problems associated with workstation hardware, operating systems, and applications. Provides support to the end user community on all hardware and software used. Detects, diagnoses, repairs, and reports problems on desktop systems. Works under the supervision of the IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Installs, configures and maintains organization's PCs and related operating systems.
- Analyzes and resolves problems associated with PC hardware, operating systems and applications.
- Detects, diagnoses, repairs and reports problems on desktop systems.
- Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
- Performs system backups and recovery.
- Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- New employee account setup and access provisioning
- Employee termination access removal
- Equipment provisioning and recovery
- Office and manufacturing floor support
- OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other work-related duties as requested
- Adherence to company security and acceptable use policies
- Basic cybersecurity best practices (passwords, MFA, access control)
- Account security (user access provisioning and removal)
- Reporting suspected security incidents or policy violations
- Support for compliance initiatives (e.g., NIST 800-171)
- Occasional after-hours or on-call support
Qualifications
- 6 months - 2 years of related experience.
- Microsoft Certification preferred.
- A+ Certification preferred
- Ability to be flexible, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Information Technology field.
- Ability to work in a structured environment.
- Active Directory and/or Azure AD (Entra ID) user management
- Basic understanding of cloud-based identity and access management
- Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, maintenance of hardware and software for network devices such as desktop computers.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic understanding of telecommunications.
- Provide technical documentation to identifying and solve problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, motivated to remain current with technology.
- Ability to prioritize problems and workload.
- Provide high level of technical support and customer satisfaction to all levels of the organization.
