Garden City, KS – NP / PA Urgent Care Locum Tenens

Full-Time Schedule Available | 12-Hour Shifts | Autonomy + Strong Support | All Ages

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an adaptable, patient-focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time Urgent Care locum tenens assignment in Garden City, Kansas .

This is a stable outpatient setting with excellent support staff, manageable volume, and the opportunity to practice autonomously while still working within a collaborative team. New grads with strong clinical rotations will also be considered.

Assignment Snapshot

Location : Garden City, Kansas
Setting : Outpatient Urgent Care
Contract Type : Locum Tenens

Urgent Care Hours :

Monday–Saturday : 8 : 00 AM – 8 : 00 PM

Sunday : 1 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 PM

Shifts : Full 12-hour shifts Mon–Sat; shorter Sunday shifts

Start Date : ASAP / ongoing

EMR : eClinicalWorks

Support : Robust MA & clinic support staff

Clinical Scope

Urgent Care for all ages

Typical daily volume : 20–30 patients / day

Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, I&D)

Some Occupational Medicine (drug screens, work comp)

DOT Certification not required to submit — employer will assist if needed

Must be comfortable working independently at times

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive UC evaluations : illness, injury, follow-ups

Order and interpret X-rays, labs, and diagnostics

Perform minor procedures and wound care

Manage acute conditions : URI, UTI, strains / sprains, lacerations, dermatologic complaints

Document patient encounters accurately in eClinicalWorks

Provide patient education & communicate clear treatment plans

Coordinate care with local specialists as needed

Candidate Requirements

NP or PA license—Active Kansas license strongly preferred

National certification (NCCPA, AANP, ANCC)

BLS required

Experience in UC, ED, FM, or EM preferred — new grads accepted

Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality patient care
