Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations. Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team. Identify and procure necessary tools, equipment, and materials for engineering activities. Monitor expenses and adjust engineering plans as necessary to stay within budget. Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for technical challenges. Provide regular updates on engineering progress and address any technical concerns. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success. Master's degree in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred). Proven track record of leading engineering efforts for projects exceeding $10 million in scope. Strong background in design-build and preconstruction processes. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications. Familiarity with sustainable engineering practices and innovative construction technologies. Experience in public sector or infrastructure projects is a plus.

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager with over 10 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction to lead the engineering aspects of high-profile projects. This role involves overseeing the technical and engineering functions, ensuring the delivery of innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions that align with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and working on large-scale projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
Oversee all engineering activities, including design, analysis, and implementation of project solutions.
- Review and approve engineering plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Ensure engineering solutions align with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
Project Management
Collaborate with project managers to integrate engineering activities into the overall project lifecycle.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Budget and Resource Management
Develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure all engineering solutions comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors on engineering-related matters.
Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (required).
Experience :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction engineering.
Skills and Competencies :
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000).
