We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage starting November 2025 and continuing into 2026. This is a great opportunity to work in a well-supported, collaborative environment with flexible scheduling and no weekends or after-hours call.
Position Overview
Duration : Ongoing through June 2026
Schedule :
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM)
No weekends, no overnight call
Must be available at least one full week per month
Preference given to candidates who can cover multiple or all listed weeks
Call : Day call only (7 AM 4 PM), primarily consults from ER / Hospitalists
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform inpatient and outpatient GI consults and procedures
Outpatient clinic 1 day / week ( patients / day)
Perform endoscopy procedures in the OR (lower and upper GI)
Therapeutic procedures preferred, but general GI accepted
Common inpatient procedures may include :
EGD with biopsy
Foreign body removal
Banding of varices
Diagnostic colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy
ERCP not required
Support & Environment
Full OR support staff
Onsite CRNA and anesthesiologist present during procedures
Onsite lab and imaging
EMR : Epic
Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage provided
Dates Needed (Must be able to cover at least one per month)
