• Provide patients with medical and nursing care, analyze their healthcare requirements, create tailored care plans, and put those plans into action.
• Administer drugs and treatments, keep track of and record the health status and development of patients, and respond to medical crises by giving first aid.
• Inform patients and staff about self-care, disease prevention, and healthcare procedures.
• Work together with other medical professionals and others from the correctional facility system to ensure the security and well-being of patients.
• Maintain the stock of drugs and medical supplies.
• Assist with the administration of medications and treatments, keep track of vital signs, help with medical operations, and alert other healthcare professionals to any changes in the medical status of patients.
• Conduct assessments, create care plans, and handle more complicated medical conditions.
