Position Summary :
The Fraud Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's efforts to prevent, detect, and investigate fraudulent activities. This role involves analyzing financial and transactional data, monitoring for suspicious activities, conducting thorough investigations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and minimize risk exposure.
Position Responsibilities :
Data Analysis : Examine transactional and financial data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may indicate fraudulent activity. Utilize statistical methods, data modeling, and machine learning tools to detect irregular transactions or behaviors.Transaction Monitoring : Continuously monitor online and offline financial transactions to identify deviations from established norms, such as unusual purchase amounts or frequencies. Flag and escalate suspicious activities for further review.Investigation of Incidents : Conduct comprehensive investigations upon detection of potential fraud. This includes gathering and analyzing evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and working with law enforcement or other external agencies as required.Fraud Prevention Strategies : Assist in developing, updating, and implementing fraud prevention protocols and security measures. Contribute to the creation and refinement of security guidelines to address emerging threats.Collaboration : Partner with departments such as Finance, Customer Service, Information Technology, and Legal to share insights and strengthen the organization's overall fraud prevention and response framework.Responsibilities also include other duties as assigned by the supervisor / managerCompetencies :
