Salary : $28.50-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours : 40 hours per week, at least one day out of every weekend.

Job Description :

LSG Sky Chefs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Operator / Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial facility maintenance and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities :

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and refrigeration / ice machine systems.
• Conduct inspections of facility equipment and systems to identify and address issues proactively.
• Operate and maintain boilers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
• Assist in carpentry projects, including repairs, installations, and renovations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure facility operations run smoothly.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Open availability is essential due to seniority-based shift bids that occur 2–3 times per year, as schedules are assigned based on tenure and availability during these periods.
