As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a positive environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence and attentive service will help maintain a welcoming atmosphere while you respond to situations as needed. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate our values of caring, teamwork, and integrity while delivering outstanding customer service in a dynamic hospital setting.

  • What You'll Do :
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report irregularities.
  • Communicate and collaborate with staff and visitors to address concerns and promote a secure environment.
  • Document observations, incidents, and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Support healthcare staff during emergencies by following established protocols and assisting with crowd control and / or directions as needed.
  • Minimum Requirements :
  • Ability to safely restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
