The University of Redlands, founded in 1907, is a private, independent, liberal arts institution located in Redlands, California, in the heart of the Southern California Inland Empire. The University has a long-standing commitment to liberal arts education and experiential learning and is recognized as a Hispanic Serving Institution, with 40% of its student body composed of first-generation students. The Chemistry Department at the University of Redlands is accredited by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and serves both undergraduate major and minor students in Chemistry and Biochemistry, as well as students completing general education requirements in the College of Arts and Sciences. Experiential learning, faculty-student interaction, and collaborative research are central to the Department’s mission. Faculty and students have opportunities to collaborate with neighboring institutions, including Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC), UC Irvine, and the Keck Graduate School, creating a dynamic and collaborative academic environment.
