Project Manager - Cloud Migration

We are hiring a Project Manager to lead our client’s Cloud Migration projects.

This person will be responsible for the coordination of foundation Infrastructure work needed for a migration to a Google Cloud environment.  They will lead teams responsible for executing cloud implementation, from Greenfield planning through to full production deployment.  This person will work closely with the Engineering / Delivery team ensuring they are staying on task and helping identify and remove blockers so they can meet their deliverables.

Key skills / experience :

Experience managing teams implementing Cloud solutions from greenfield to production deployment

Proven track record of successfully working with Engineering / Delivery teams ensuring they are staying on task and helping identify and remove blockers so they can meet their deliverables.

Ability to help drive best practices in cloud governance, automation, and infrastructure reliability.

Collaboration with engineering and operations teams to enable a smooth transition from on-prem to GCP, while laying the foundation for future cloud-native services.

Proven ability to lead stand ups and working sessions.

Proficient managing project through Jira

Experience using Jira Structure a plus

Working with multiple vendor partners and internal resources

Delivery Focus / able to hold engineers accountable

Identifies blockers and able to communicate appropriately to drive to resolution

Works with and takes direction from the lead Program Manager

Must be delivery and results focused

Required Experience

3+ years experience as a Project Manager

Experience leading cloud migration projects  - preferably with GCP migrations

Experience with greenfield to production deployment of solutions in a cloud environment

Experience leading daily scrums, stand ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprints

Working knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives

Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams and manage complex projects

Experience working effectively with both technical and business teams

Strong track record of achieving results while fostering collaborative, “win-win” outcomes

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive progress proactively

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and project assignments

Outstanding communication skills are required

Nice to have

Experience working on projects for Retail companies

Note : This is a remote role. Candidates must be available 8am to 5pm Central Time, with occasional flexibility for evenings or weekends as required.

Pay $60 - $70 / hour depending on experience
