Assembler

$15 - $15.5 / hour

• Perform assembly operations outlined in job book
• Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
• Notify Manager / Lead when MOS need to be created for equipment maintenance
• Keep records of production quantities scrap and meet expected rates
• Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
• Work with others on a line or group in order to assemble products
• Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures
• Place correct labels on regrind containers
• Visually inspect all parts prior to packaging
• Perform sanding, masking, inserting, milling and drilling procedures on parts
• Operate automatic robotics, assists on paint line and assembly line
• Build boxes / containers, packages, and label parts for shipment to customer
• High school diploma / GED
• Basic math skills
• Understand measurements
• Basic English reading ability and comprehension to understand instructions in job books
• Basic computer skills
• Must be good at following directions and have a strong attention to detail
• Able to lift 55 lbs. up to shoulder height on an on-going basis
• Able to lift 55 lbs. above head occasionally
• Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
• Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously
• Good hand and wrist dexterity
• Visually inspect all parts
• Stand and walk up to 8 hours
• Able to work with small pieces that are 1 / 8 inch
• Good hand eye coordination
