American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with 5+ years of recent Interventional Radiology and traveler experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an interventional radiology unit performing advanced vascular and non-vascular proceduresServes acute inpatient, emergency department, and outpatient populations with cases such as cancer, trauma, vascular disease, and urological comorbiditiesAverage daily census is 8, with 2 procedures per dayProcedures include angioplasty, embolization, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, stent placement, nephrostomy, central venous access, thoracentesis, and trauma Level I proceduresUses Siemens single plane, GE Biplane, ultrasounds, Pyxis, and monitoring equipmentEPIC is used for documentation and experience is preferredBlock scheduling, Monday through Friday 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PMShared call coverage required on weekends, typically two 24-hour call shifts in a five-week periodRotating 3-4 weekends per contract, with call only on weekendsScrubs are providedMain responsibilities include preparing and assisting with a range of interventional procedures, maintaining equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring sterile environmentsDepartment utilizes Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems for medication, documentation, and communicationOrientation is provided and tailored to level of experienceWeekend call participation is a requirement and scheduled rotationally among staffEnvironment supports a close-knit team of full-time and travel RTsRTO is capped at 7 days maximum per contractFirst-time travelers will not be consideredScrubs are provided to all staff\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 5 years of Interventional Radiology experience requiredPrevious traveler experience requiredCurrent ARRT (R) and BLS certifications requiredProficiency with procedures such as angioplasty, chest tube placement, embolization, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, PICC line care, and use of fluoroscopyExperience with trauma Level I procedures preferredPreferred certifications include ARRT VIExperience with PACS, TIPS, GE Innova IGS, Siemens equipment, and EKG lead placement is preferredMust be able to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and use vascular closure systemsLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
