Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Antenna System Validation, Amazon Leo

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). As a Software Development Engineer on antenna systems validation team, you'll build the software backbone that powers our satellite ground infrastructure. You'll work at the intersection of distributed systems, automation, and hardware, creating tools and platforms that our engineers rely on every day.

Your Impact :

• Build scalable test automation frameworks that validate complex antenna systems at scale
• Design and develop data pipelines for processing and analyzing massive datasets from RF systems
• Create developer tools and APIs that accelerate hardware bring-up and system characterization
• Develop simulation and modeling applications for 2D / 3D antenna array design
• Automate everything : from firmware deployment to system configuration and validation
• Build web applications and dashboards for system monitoring and data visualization
• Collaborate across disciplines with systems architects, hardware engineers, and firmware teams

Technologies & Skills :

No prior RF, antenna, or hardware experience required - curiosity and strong software fundamentals are what matter most.

Export Control Requirement :

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
