Key Responsibilities :

• Patient Care : Assist in the examination and treatment of pediatric patients, providing direct and individualized nursing care. Maintain clinic flow and facilitate a patient-first environment.
• Vital Signs Monitoring : Take and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height. Clinical judgment on vital signs needed for acute care visits.
• Vaccine and Medication Administration : Administer vaccinations based on the CDC recommended schedule.
• Patient Education : Provide education to patients and families regarding health maintenance and disease prevention. Maintain an increasing knowledge base related to pediatric care standards and vaccine management.
• Clinical Support : Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Use of electronic health records within our clinic and with our various healthcare partners is required.
• Equipment Management : Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and safe environment. Assist with keeping accurate vaccine inventory, safe handling, and storage.
• Laboratory Duties : Point of care testing and phlebotomy. Correct storage and handling of specimens. Training is provided.
• Patient Communication : Assist with patient and family concerns, referral process, and medication refills.
