The Hired Guns are seeking an SEO Strategist to join the team at a rapidly growing startup in the eyewear space. You’ll use all your expertise to drive increased store traffic. This role starts out on a contract basis, then transitions to a full-time hire.

A rapidly growing eyewear startup (hint: they’re poised to take on Warby Parker) is searching for an SEO Strategist to drive online customers into retail stores. In this role, you’ll create a best-in-class organic (and local) search plan and see it through, from strategy to execution, while working cross-functionally with their digital product, content, and analytics teams. Your day-to-day will be living and breathing the company’s organic search footprint by monitoring SEO performance, identifying new opportunities, planning optimizations, evaluating results, and recommending crucial updates.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…

You understand prospective patient/customer search behavior and have a track record of increasing organic search in a hyper-local market. Algorithm functions and monitoring product roadmaps for search technologies are your fortes, and you’ve cut your teeth targeting customers with SEO for a brick-and-mortar brand. (This role is not ecomm!)

You’re a collaborative worker, yet able to thrive independently, with an analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the gravitas needed for presenting to C-suite execs. You’re comfortable (or better yet, an expert) in Google Search Console, Google My Business, Yelp, Yext, Excel, and SEO-specific reporting platforms.
