Summary
We are seeking a reliable and caring Substitute Early Childhood Educator to provide support in the classroom when regular staff members are unavailable. This role involves assisting with daily routines, engaging children in age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children in a warm, positive manner.
Follow established lesson plans and classroom routines.
Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs.
Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, and classroom cleanup.
Ensure a safe and organized learning environment.
Communicate effectively with staff and follow center policies.
Requirements
Must meet State of CT requirements as childcare center worker :
Upon hire must have documentation of a physical examination, to be repeated every three years
Candidates must pass required state background check
Mandated Reporter Training
Health and Safety Training
Infant and Toddler Safety Training
Nice To Haves
CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
