Position Summary
The Software Developer I (OnBase Developer) is an entry-level role within the ERP Systems team in the Information Technology Division, ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to grow in enterprise application development. Reporting to the Manager for Workflow & Content, this position supports the development and maintenance of SDSU’s electronic workflow and content management systems and participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle with guidance from senior developers. We’re seeking someone curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to build a career in enterprise software development.
Key Responsibilities :
Application Development & Support Assist in developing, configuring, testing, and maintaining enterprise workflow and content management solutions.
Support enhancements to existing applications and workflows under established standards and guidance.
Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure applications function as intended.
Contribute to documentation of technical solutions and processes.
Requirements Gathering & Collaboration Partner with business users to understand basic workflow and system requirements.
Help translate business needs into technical tasks under direction of senior team members.
Participate in team discussions and collaborative solution design sessions.
System Maintenance & Administration Assist with user access configuration, security settings, and system monitoring.
Support software upgrades, environment migrations, and release processes.
Help maintain data integrity and system reliability.
Team & Process Support Track tasks and support requests using team tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and team meetings.
Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Department Summary
A unit of the Information Technology Division, the mission of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems is to provide vision, leadership, strategies, and services in support of the success of students, faculty, staff and administration; and contributes to the overall strategic objectives of the university and the Information Technology Division. ERP Systems provides stewardship over a complex technology infrastructure of systems and databases critical to the university's mission and operation, including student information & financial aid, campus financials, human resources, document workflow and content, and various other ancillary campus systems.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant education, certifications, and / or experience that demonstrate acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities, which may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
