Job summary

Under general supervision of the Branch Manager the Loan Originator Assistant works alongside designated Loan Officers in a productive environment. This position involves supporting a team in the loan origination process as well as performing daily administrative tasks. Tasks are completed with a deadline and with proficiency.

Essential job functions

• Ensure files move through processing and closing in a timely manner
• Establish appointments with clients
• Collect necessary documents and review to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Make copies of important documents
• Monitor file and communications to ensure client questions and concerns and timely addressed
• Keep client informed about the status of the loan process
• Properly prepare files for submission to processing
• Demonstrate commitment to customer service and client retention at all times
• Stay acquainted with assigned Loan Officers daily schedule
• Systematically store and maintain client data and files
• Work closely with processing team to obtain documentation required for loan approval docs and / or funding
• As directed by the loan originator obtain from third party vendors and review applicants credit history
• Perform such other tasks as may be properly assigned or delegated to the Loan Originator Assistant except Prohibited Conduct

Loan Originator Assistants who do not possess a valid and current mortgage loan originators license are not permitted to and shall not perform any of the following activities (Prohibited Conduct) :

Compensation Disclosure

This is a non-exempt hourly position. The pay range for this role is $16.50 to $17.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Overtime is paid in accordance with California state and federal labor laws. Additional compensation such as bonuses or incentive pay may be available based on performance and business needs.

At-Will Employment

This position is classified as at-will employment in accordance with California law. Employment may be terminated by either the employer or employee at any time with or without cause or notice subject to applicable law.

Work Location

This position is primarily based in our office located at 916 W. Ventura Blvd Suite 100 Camarillo CA 93010 . Regular in-office attendance is required during standard business hours.
