Shop Foreman – Mac Structural Steel Inc. (Long Beach, CA)

Location : 2055 W Cowles St, Long Beach, CA

Company : Mac Structural Steel Inc.

Position Type : Full-Time

Pay : $30–$45 / hr (Based on Experience)

Mac Structural Steel Inc. is a leading steel fabrication and erection company serving Southern California. We specialize in structural steel, architectural metals, and marine-grade welding. Our shop is fast-paced, quality-driven, and built on craftsmanship and integrity.

Position Overview :

We’re hiring a Shop Foreman to lead our fabrication team. You’ll manage daily shop operations, supervise welders and fabricators, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and coordinate shop personnel and workflow
  • Interpret blueprints and assign fabrication tasks
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to specs
  • Maintain safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Manage inventory, equipment, and material orders
  • Collaborate with project managers and field foremen

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years in steel fabrication, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Skilled in MIG / TIG / Stick welding and layout techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • AWS certification preferred
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus
