Position Overview
The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University, is a growing practice. We are currently seeking applicants for a full‑time clinical Neuro Ophthalmologist position. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care, research, and education at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Neuro Ophthalmology.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Division Director and / or Department Chair determines work assignments. Each faculty member is expected to perform the full range of responsibilities in teaching, research / scholarship, and service. Clinical services are a component of your faculty responsibility, with or without the presence of a trainee. The academic mission of the Department will be supported. In consultation with the Department Chair, you will pursue research, quality improvement initiatives, curriculum development, and education initiatives, or other activities consistent with the faculty assignment. Faculty members teach, which may include clinical or didactic teaching and may involve medical students, residents, fellows, undergraduate and graduate students, and post‑doctoral fellows. Service commitments will include service at the OSUWMC facilities and other clinical sites as assigned. Active participation in divisional, departmental, and college committee functions is expected. Participation in local, regional, or national professional organizations is also expected.
